The Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, in cooperation with the Education and Student Sector at Mansoura University, under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meligy, the acting President of Mansoura University, today, Tuesday, October 25, 2022, organized a celebration on the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the Glorious October Victory in 1973 and the anniversary of the Mansoura Air Battle in the open theater in Peoples Square at the university Under the slogan “Endless Championships”.

In the presence of Dr. Ayman Mukhtar, Governor of Dakahlia, Prof. Taya Abdel Latif - Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education for Student Activities, Prof. Mohamed Attia Al-Bayoumi - Vice President for Education and Students, Prof. Ashraf Hafez - Vice President of the University For graduate studies and research, Dr. Haitham Al-Sheikh - Deputy Governor of Dakahlia, a number of security and popular leaders, police representatives in the governorate, veterans participating in the October war, a number of families of the armed forces and police martyrs, deans and vice deans of university faculties, and a large number of faculty members, administrators and students of the university and civil society representatives in the governorate.

Prof. Mahmoud El-Meligy, the acting president of the university, stressed during his speech the pride of all Egyptians in the great October victory and our pride in the sacrifices of the righteous martyrs of the homeland, His Excellency was keen to salute the leader of war and peace, President Mohamed Anwar El-Sadat, the righteous martyrs of the homeland, the political leadership and the Egyptian nation, which was and is always ready to sacrifice the lives of its children to preserve the safety and dignity of the nation. He also thanked all those who organized and participate in this celebration, and welcomed all those present, indicating that the university remains the maker of the nation's conscience and its future, and that university students are the hope of building the Egyptian state to complete the victories achieved by the armed forces in all areas of civil work.

Dr. Ayman Mokhtar was keen to emphasize his happiness at being inside the campus of Mansoura University, His Excellency also praised the heroism of the armed forces in the glorious October War, which reminds us of the continuous heroism and sacrifices of the homeland's martyrs so that Egypt enjoys security, safety and stability.

Prof. Mohamed Attia, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, stressed the feelings of pride in the glorious October victory and appreciation for the sacrifices of the families of the martyrs, which obliges us to complete their mission in building the future of the country, and emphasize the university’s role in building national identity and nurturing feelings of loyalty and belonging among university students.

Dr. Mahmoud Abul-Magd, the official spokesman for the President of Mansoura University, stated that the celebration included a parade of military education students, and students representing all university faculties, “Operetta 6 October” for a group of children from the Childhood Care and Development Center, honoring the families of martyrs from the armed forces and police, in addition to the university choir presenting a group of wonderful patriotic songs.

Both the students of military education and the Al-Mahrousa team at Mansoura University participated in the celebration, and representatives of the employees of all hospitals, centers and administrative sectors of the university. The ceremony concluded with honoring the families of the martyrs from the armed forces and police, and a lyrical paragraph that included patriotic songs presented by the Mansoura University choir team.
