Inauguration of "The Employment Forum 2022" at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Mansoura University
Prof. Mahmoud Mohamed El-Meligy, Acting President of Mansoura University, inaugurated today, Sunday, October 30, 2022, the activities of the Employment Forum for the year 2022 at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the university, which is organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector in cooperation with the Graduate Follow-up Office of the College. And in the presence of Prof. Maha Abdo Muhammad Abdo Al-Ashmawy - Dean of the College, Prof. Muhammad Jabr Al-Sayed Jabr - Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and the former deans of the College, College vice deans, heads of departments and faculty members of the College.
Where 18 companies working in the veterinary sector participated in the forum, including: the Directorate of Veterinary Medicine, the Animal Health Research Institute, the General Syndicate of Veterinarians, the reference laboratory for poultry diseases, the Animal Health Research Institute, and the Animal Health Research Institute in Damietta Port.
Prof. Maha Abdo, Dean of the College, confirmed that the forum aims to prepare and qualify graduates for the labor market and link the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Mansoura University, to the labor market, in order to prepare a graduate capable of meeting the needs of the market, in an effort to create suitable job opportunities for graduates.
Dr. Mohamed Gabr, Vice Dean for Community Service Affairs, stated that the College of Veterinary Medicine is keen to conclude agreements with a number of companies and factories, with the aim of training graduates, facilitating their access to distinct and suitable job opportunities, and to provide students, especially in the final years, as well as graduates, with the opportunity to learn about the needs of the labor market in order to develop the different skills that prepare them to enter the labor market, benefiting from the experiences and expertise of former graduates who have achieved tangible successes in the labor market, creating a database of graduates in cooperation with the entities and companies participating in the forum, to be used in providing job opportunities for graduates, developing training programs for final-year students and newly graduated veterinarians to qualify them to acquire the skills required for the market Work, and activating the participation of students and graduates in the events and activities offered by the participating entities and companies, in coordination with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Mansoura University.
Meetings were also made with distinguished college graduates who have held leadership positions within global companies and organizations in the veterinary field.
