Field training for students of the Faculty of Arts in the Anti-Violence Against Women Unit

Under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud Mohamed El-Meligy - Acting President of Mansoura University and Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, the Anti-Violence Against Women Unit hosted field training for students of the Sociology Department at the Faculty of Arts to get acquainted with the nature of the unit’s work and its activities, and to spend a training period that extends to the end of the first semester.

It is worth noting that the training is held weekly under the supervision of Prof. Dina Abul-Ela - Head of the Sociology Department, Prof. Samia Ali Hassanein - Professor of Anthropology in the department, Prof. Nora Talaat - Assistant Professor in the department. The (60) students were welcomed by Dr. Samah Al-Saeed - Director of the Unit, Dr. Zahra Mutawa, Dr. Wedad Saber, Dr. Yemeni Ghoneim - Coordinators of the Anti-Violence Against Women Unit

The role of the unit in the university and the organizational structure as well as the work mechanism of the unit were discussed. Students were also acquainted with how to volunteer and join the unit's work team.The unit will receive other student delegations in orientation meetings throughout the first semester of the current academic year.
