Launching the activities of “Jusoor Al-Khair (20)” Convoy in the city of Al-Arish, North Sinai Governorate

Today, Monday morning, May 29, 2023, the activities of Mansoura University “Jusoor Al-Khair (20)” Convoy  began in the city off Al-Arish, under the auspices of Prof. Sherif Khater - President of Mansoura University, Staff Major General / Mohamed Rabie - Commander of the Second Field Army, and headed by Prof. Mahmoud El-Meligy - Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, which aims to provide comprehensive services to the people of the poorest and most needy villages in North Sinai Governorate.

Prof. Sherif Khater followed up the work of the convoy, as he stated that the efforts of the medical convoy resulted in a total of (3311) beneficiary medical cases. He also expressed his gratitude to all parties that supported the convoy, especially the Second Field Army, for facilitating the convoy mission in the governorate and their follow-up to it.

The activities of the first day of the convoy included several activities aimed at meeting the needs of the local population in the region, as the medical convoy throughout the day signed the medical examination of the people and Prof. Iman Abu Al-Fadl - Technical and Administrative Director of the convoy announced the signing of a medical examination for (1906) cases in various medical specialties, in addition to (122) dental cases, (137) sonar cases on the abdomen, (88) sonar cases on the digestive system and kidneys, (27) Sina Specialist Operations, (23) Doppler, (33) Echo, (68) CT scans, ( 167) glasses, (144) optometry, with the disbursement of treatment for all cases free of charge from the pharmacy of the convoy, and the transfer of (35) cases to hospitals and medical centers at Mansoura University to conduct the necessary medical examinations and surgeries.

The efforts of the Childhood Care and Development Center team at the university resulted in the organization of a number of recreational and educational activities, where Prof. Wafa Abu Al-Maati - Director of the Childhood Care and Development Center at the university stated that the center's team provided throughout the day a number of recreational activities for more than (370) children, where workshops were organized to recycle metal cans and make piggy banks, and workshops for making butterflies from colored paper, in addition to face painting and distributing gifts and sweets to children. who are with their families in the hospital.

The activities of the convoy are scheduled to continue until Thursday, June 1, 2023.
