The intellectual security committee at Mansoura University organized a symposium on “Challenges of Intellectual Security” under the patronage of both Prof. Dr. / Ashraf Mohamed Abdel Baset - President of the
University and Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Mohamed El-Meligy - Vice President of the University for Community Service and Development Environment and supervision by Prof. Sherif Khater - Dean of the Faculty of Law and Chairman of the Committee, in the Hall of Prof. Dr. / Abdul Razzaq Al-Sanhouri at the Faculty of Law.
Prof. Dr. / Sharif Khater emphasized that the establishment of the Committee for Intellectual Security directed from the state for dialogue with young people, as universities paid attention to the need to develop students ’thinking and sensitize them to the dangers surrounding them, as well as interest in the educational process, and added that the individual does not realize the value of his country except when he is abroad and he should put Considering the merit of his country over him, especially in the different stages of education, and he defends his country against those who ambush him, no matter how he disagreed with the ruling regime, and demanded that young people adhere to the moderation approach in dealing with all matters and arbitrate the mind when judging them and not promote negative phenomena in society even if they disagreed with them in order to provoke confusion In the community.
Prof. Dr. Tamer Saleh pointed out that intellectual security is the basis of the rest of the forms of security because its availability leads to its realization, and he added that the Egyptian community has witnessed extraneous phenomena such as terrorism and atheism that were caused by intellectual insecurity as the deviation begins with an idea that might exaggerate the matter such as intellectual hardship or Underestimating it is like moral decay, and it is believed that the causes of intellectual insecurity are represented in the misunderstanding of religion and failure to consider jurisprudential differences, lack of dialogue Societal, failure of the media to play its role in building society, class hatred as a result of income inequality, lack of assimilation of the energies of young people and the weight of their skills, as he believes that intellectual insecurity leads to the spread of sedition in society, and added that achieving intellectual security requires achieving social justice and containing all groups of society, Therefore, the university recently sought to establish committees to communicate with its students and establish centers to develop their practical skills and work to solve all their problems
Dr. Mu'tasim Billah Mustafa stressed that security has many forms, including intellectual, social and food. Intellectual security aims to preserve the values and principles of society and its constants from external influences in light of the tremendous technological development that the world is currently witnessing. He added that wars are no longer traditional through armed conflict but rather have become War of rumors to destabilize countries, and therefore the symposium aims to make all university employees able to assess what information they are exposed to properly, and believes that young people complain about the absence of job opportunities without being interested in developing their skills during the study with their focus on working with unproductive jobs and skills not emerging Employed by them.
