The Faculty of Tourism and Hotels in Mansoura University, in cooperation with the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector at the university, organized today, Sunday, November 24, 2019, the
Egyptian Cultural Salon entitled "Pages from Egyptian Civilization" under the patronage of both Prof. Dr. Ashraf Mohamed Abdel Baset - President of the University and Prof. / Mahmoud Mohamed El-Meligy - Vice-President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development and supervision of Prof. Amina Shalaby, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels at the Grand Coliseum of the College.
Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Al-Damati - the former Minister of Antiquities emphasized that the first mention of the word Egypt was in the message of Prince Canaani to Pharaoh of Egypt in the fourteenth century BC and praised the efforts of King Tuthmosis the Third in upgrading the Egyptian state through his participation during the rule of Hatshepsut in battles in Nubia and the Levant, And his great role in the battle of Megiddo in 1479 BC to eliminate the princes of the east who tried to overthrow the rule of Egypt after the death of Hatshepsut, and stressed that the calendar followed in the West is of Egyptian origin, indicating that some of the words currently used are from the ancient Egyptian civilization, and demonstrated the position of women in ancient Egypt .
Dr. Jihan Mahmoud - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Golden Mind Foundation pointed out that the message of the General Authority of the Salon of Egypt House and the Arabs is to build a society that enhances the system of values and belonging, preserving the fabric of society and respecting the other and raising the levels of public awareness of Egypt's civilization.
