Prof. Ashraf Abdel Basset - President of Mansoura University, held a meeting with the Supreme Committee, organizing the First Forum for International Students in the Egyptian Universities, 

hosted by Mansoura University in cooperation with the Central Administration of Expatriates, in the presence of Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, during the period from 27-29 January 2019. The meeting was attended by Prof. Mahmoud El Meligi, the Vice-President for Community Service and Environmental Development affairs and Chairman of the Higher Committee for the Forum, Prof. Ashraf Sweilam, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research.

Prof. Ashraf Abdel Basset emphasized the importance of hosting the event which will be attended by students from 28 different nationalities from all over the world. Mansoura University plays a vital role as a true ambassador for Egypt, bringing together the peoples of the world to blend different cultures and civilizations for one goal. which is the only way to develop countries.

Prof. Mahmoud El Meligi pointed out that the forum will be attended by 525 of international students from different communities representing 12 Egyptian universities in addition to Mansoura University and the Central Administration of Expatriates to participate in sportive, cultural, social and artistic activities and science and art club. Ambassadors and cultural attachés of the Arab, African and Asian communities participate in the forum. Students from Arab, African and Asian countries participate in the events such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Palestine, and Yemen, from Arab countries. Sudan, Somalia, Eritrea, Mauritania, Nigeria, Niger, Comoros, from the African countries, Malaysia, Indonesia, and China from the Asian countries.

The Forum aims at extending the bonds of relations and cooperation among the Egyptian universities to serve the international students in all Egyptian universities, providing various services to the international students, linking them with the Egyptian society and increasing their interaction with each other as well as with the Egyptian students to reduce the feeling of alienation.
