A scientific trip visit program for students of Dekernes Diversified School for Girls in the Faculty of Engineering
Under the supervision of Ms. Prof. Dr. Sahar Sedqi, Vice Dean of the College for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Abeer Tawakkol, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Engineering Program, with the participation of the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector and the coordination of Ms. Dr. Iman El-Gendy, Lecturer in the Department of Computers and Control, the College of Engineering received the College of Engineering on the morning of Thursday 16 November 2023, at 10:30 in the morning, a scientific trip for a number of students from Dikernis Preparatory School for Girls, where a simplified presentation was presented in which it was explained what the College of Engineering is, the nature of study there, and a simplified idea about the advantages of the college and the future of its graduates, and what are the scientific departments and specific programs in it, with words of motivation and encouragement to send The spirit of ambition and the consolidation of hope in achieving it. The students were then accompanied to visit a number of laboratories, workshops, a library, departments and programs of the college. This visit took place within the framework of the college’s interests towards the external community, as this recreational and scientific activity is considered a service to the educational process in pre-university education institutions, and to enrich the experiences of the students. Educational and social, which is reflected in their academic achievement, and contributes to determining the students’ future directions and enhancing the sense of belonging and social responsibility. The college provided the students in the trip program with an atmosphere full of confidence and giving in the students’ souls, and the necessity of providing them with the skills of dealing with modern and future science technologies and clarification was emphasized. They realize the importance of linking theoretical and applied aspects in accordance with what the labor market needs, and expanding their horizons and awareness of modern scientific trends and fields such as artificial intelligence.
