A symposium entitled “How College Female Students Deal with Harassment” on Wednesday, December 20, 2023,
Professor Intisar Al-Sayed Al-Maghawri, coordinator of the activities of the environmental affairs and community service sector at the college, lectured
She addressed the importance of educating female college students about harassment and its forms, teaching them how to deal with sexual harassment, and enhancing their self-confidence and ability to confront harassment.
The doctor explained that sexual harassment can occur anywhere, whether at home, school, work, or public places. It can also happen by anyone, whether someone known to the victim, or a stranger to her.
It also discussed some of the most important forms of electronic harassment through social media and the necessity of protecting themselves from falling prey to electronic, verbal, or physical harassment.
At the conclusion of the symposium, the discussion was opened with the students, where they expressed their interest in the topic and asked a group of questions and inquiries.
