A workshop entitled : The most important problems facing graduates and the mechanism for solving them to qualify graduates for the labor market in the College of Veterinary Medicine
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater - President of Mansoura University and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim Mohamed - Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and the leadership of Mr. Prof. Dr. Maha Abdo Mohamed Abdo El Ashmawy - Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Mr. A. Dr. Muhammad Jabr Al-Saye Jabr - College Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
A workshop was held entitled: The most important problems facing graduates and the mechanism for solving them to qualify graduates for the labor market. On Tuesday 12/19/2023 AD.
The workshop addressed dialogue and discussion about: the most important problems facing graduates that were addressed in the forum and some proposed plans for improvement:
1 - Trying to develop and lighten the academic curricula while removing unimportant parts, provided that the academic material is not disturbed.
2- Trying to link the courses together.
3 - Focus on the practical aspect of the courses in addition to the academic part, and try to divide the students into small groups so that each student can train better.
4 - Discussing the development of the teaching hospital in terms of establishing upgraded operating rooms and a special unit for laboratory animals.
5 - Establishing a center for continuing education to make it easier for the graduate to obtain information at any time, even after the end of his studies in college.
6 - Conduct more training courses that the graduate may need to qualify him for the labor market.
7 - Discussing the additional advantages of the academic year at the bachelor’s level (with distinction), which have already been implemented and which may greatly increase the graduate’s
competence to meet the requirements of the labor market and ensure his qualification through contracting with relevant official bodies.
High efficiency of training, as it qualifies the graduate to pass the board exam to practice the profession.
8 - Discussing some problems related to the mechanism of the board exam (Egyptian Fellowship) for practicing the profession.
9 - Working to organize more training programs, which met with great success and were praised by all attendees.
