The Board of Trustees of Mansoura National University held its first session after its formation, at the headquarters of Mansoura Governmental University, headed by Professor Dr. Sayed Ahmed Abdel Khaleq, former Minister of Higher Education and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and in the presence of Professor Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, Dr. Ayman Mukhtar, Governor of Dakahlia, and members of the Board of Trustees. At the beginning of the meeting, Professor Dr. Al-Sayed Abdel-Khaleq stressed the unlimited support provided by the political leadership for the establishment of private universities, pointing out the importance of cooperation and integration between public and private universities, exchanging experiences, establishing partnerships with prestigious international universities, and providing modern study programs that keep pace with the needs of future jobs.
He extended his thanks and appreciation to the presidents of Mansoura University and to all those who contributed to building the Mansoura National University, this great edifice emanating from the ancient Mansoura University, which has a promising future. He also thanked all state institutions, the Minister of Higher Education, and the Governors of Dakahlia for the effort they made to support the establishment of the National University.
He pointed to the council’s aspirations towards maximizing the benefit of this great educational edifice, fruitful and constructive cooperation between the two universities, and providing all forms of support to develop the university’s plans and strategic goals in an effort to achieve its vision and mission, and deepen its achievements at the academic and research levels.
Professor Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater congratulated the members of the Board of Trustees for choosing Professor Dr. Al-Sayed Abdel Khaleq as Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Professor Dr. Kamal Gad Sharubim, the former Governor of Dakahlia, as Deputy Board of Trustees.
He stressed that His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi was interested in developing the system of higher education and scientific research, and directed the establishment of private universities emanating from government universities to provide distinguished educational service, keeping pace with fourth-generation universities, as well as expanding new programs, especially inter-study programs, with the aim of responding to the needs of the labor market, as well as Providing greater opportunities for university education with international standards.
Pointing out that Mansoura University has contributed and continues to play its national and developmental role in various educational, cultural and societal fields. It has contributed to the establishment of Mansoura National University, which is considered one of the distinguished universities and plays a prominent role in the development of the Delta governorates in all educational and service sectors to provide distinguished educational service in accordance with Egypt’s vision. 2030, keeping pace with the fourth generation universities. Emphasizing the twinning and integration between Mansoura Public University and the National University and the support of its human cadres, including faculty members and administrative cadres, he appreciated the sincere efforts of the university administration, which contributed to establishing the university and reaching this distinguished educational entity. He praised the efforts and support of the former university presidents. He also praised the fruitful and constructive cooperation. Dr. Ayman Mukhtar pointed out that the governorate seeks, through cooperation with all various state agencies, to make Mansoura National University the first among its peers and among various other universities by providing all aspects of logistical support, overcoming all obstacles, and developing a future plan and vision to develop the educational process in it and adding more educational programs. Developed.
He stressed that Mansoura National University will have a great position in the future due to its distinguished geographical location, which is in the middle of the Delta governorates, in addition to the educational staff and faculty members who are members of the ancient Mansoura University, which is a university that has gained great local and international standing due to its distinction.
The governor appreciated the role of the successive presidents of Mansoura University who worked day and night to complete the construction and opening of this great educational edifice to be a major and new addition to Dakahlia Governorate so that it can be transformed into an educational citadel just as it has become a medical citadel and capital of Egypt. We hope in the future that it will also become a citadel and capital of medicine in Egypt.
