Meeting of the members of the Board of Directors of the Center for the Care of Families of Martyrs and those injured in terrorist operations “on Thursday, December 28, 2023”

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim Mohamed - Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs met on Thursday, December 28, 2023 AD, with the members of the Board of Directors of the Center for the Care of Families of Martyrs and those injured in terrorist operations on Thursday, December 28, 2023 AD, and they are:

Prof. Dr. Walid El-Shennawi - Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Khaled Ziadeh - Vice Dean of the College of Physical Education for Community Service Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ghada Al-Qunaishi - Vice Dean of the College of Medicine for Community Service Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Adel Al-Tabei - Professor at the College of Medicine The veterinarian and former dean of the college, Prof. Dr. Shaima Abdel Wahab - Director of the Center, Dr. Maryam Wissa - Lecturer in the Department of Greek Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Prof. Mohamed Abdel Latif - Secretary General of the University, and Dr. Wael Ahmed Abdel Aziz - Undersecretary of the Ministry of Solidarity. Social worker in Dakahlia and Engineer Reda Al-Shafi’i - Head of the Engineers Syndicate in Dakahlia, member of the Egyptian Senate, and representative of the Armed Forces.

At the beginning of the session, His Excellency welcomed the attendees. Then His Excellency congratulated Dr. Shaima Abdel Wahab on renewing her appointment as Center Director for a second term. His Excellency praised the quality and excellence of some of the units and places within the university, such as the new Armed Forces outlet. Then His Excellency discussed some matters related to the center, such as the necessity of The presence of a website for the center and the allocation of a permanent place for the center for flexibility and ease of work. Then His Excellency moved to discuss the topics of the center’s agenda, which is changing the target group to include everyone who holds a certificate of martyr or injured, whether from the military or civilians, whether from the armed forces, the Ministry of Interior, or the Ministry of Solidarity. Social Council and proposed changing the name of the center to be the Center for the Care of Families of Martyrs and Injured, then discussing addressing the Fund for Honoring the Families of Martyrs and Injured to obtain approval for the work of the center in light of the request of the Ministry of Finance as one of the requirements for approving the center’s financial regulations. The most important services proposed to be provided to the target group of the center were also discussed, and the most important obstacles that are presented were presented. It prevents the center from being activated, presenting the center’s most important needs, and discussing amending the center’s general regulations. The attendees also presented a set of proposals to develop the center, and a memorandum will be prepared to present them to the University Council for approval.
