The President of Mansoura University, the Vice President of the University, and the Chairman of the Health Accreditation and Control Authority discuss mechanisms for qualifying university hospitals to obtain accreditation according to “GAHAR” standards.

For his part, Dr. Ahmed Taha, Chairman of the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Control, confirmed the Authority’s readiness for intensive cooperation during the coming period to accelerate the qualification of university hospitals to obtain accreditation in accordance with the quality standards issued by the Authority and which have obtained international accreditation from (ESCWA), and then provide its services within the system. The head of the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Control indicated the authority’s readiness to provide all aspects of technical support and training to health facilities, noting that Mansoura University is one of the most prestigious Egyptian universities in the field of medicine, and is distinguished by its highly specialized medical edifices, as well as its distinguished human cadres, which qualifies it to contribute strongly. In the medical tourism sector in Egypt, consistent with the highest levels of international quality, in addition to Mansoura University’s embrace of many research centers and outpatient clinics that work to provide specialized and diverse medical services to approximately 6,000 visitors daily. On the sidelines of the visit, Dr. Ahmed Taha, Chairman of the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Control, and the accompanying delegation, made an inspection tour of Mansoura University Hospitals, which included a visit to the Kidney and Urinary Tract Center, the Ophthalmology and Surgery Center, the Digestive and Liver Surgery Center, and the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Center.
