Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater - President of Mansoura University and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim - Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali Shata - Dean of the College of Agriculture and Prof. Dr. Metwally Abu Sari' - Vice Dean of the College for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
Within the framework of the case study conducted by the National Council for Women and the United Nations Population Fund to document Egypt’s experience in developing a system to combat violence against women, including the system that was established within universities in Egypt, where the research study is carried out by Dr. Iman Baybars, the international expert in issues Gender, sustainable development and social entrepreneurship, where coordination was made with the research team to visit the Unit for Combating Violence against Women at Mansoura University and the Safe Clinic Unit at the Faculty of Medicine at Mansoura University.

During the visit, Dr. Iman and the research team were received by Prof. Mohamed Abdel Azim - Vice President of Mansoura University. Interviews were conducted with all officials of the Unit for Combating Violence against Women, Dr. Samah Al-Saeed - Director of the Unit for Combating Violence against Women at the University and Dr. Ghada Al-Qanishi - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Mansoura University, responsible for the safe clinic for women, and Dr. Al-Zahraa Mutawa - Member of the Executive Office of the Unit and Coordinator of the Unit at the College of Agriculture and a number of a team of Unit members at the University. Medhat Ismail - Secretary of the Faculty of Agriculture. The entire work team in the two units and some beneficiaries were also interviewed to document Egypt’s experience in combating violence against women.
The college hosted a. Rehab Abu Al-Qasim and Dr. Rasha Raslan Representatives from the National Council for Women and the United Nations Population and Development Fund (UNFP) visited the university to follow up on the work of the units to combat violence against women.
The delegation held meetings with the unit team and also held a meeting with the Dean of the College and members of the team to discuss issues related to the unit’s work progress and overcoming the challenges it faces. They praised their efforts and the extent of support provided by the college administration to achieve the unit’s goals of providing a safe university work environment for female students and University employees and faculty members. The delegation also visited the unit’s headquarters in the College of Agriculture in the new building, which is the first headquarters to be opened in the university’s colleges as a pioneering step for the College of Agriculture. .
The College's Anti-Violence Unit provides comprehensive gender-based violence against women and girls case management services, psychosocial support, legal and medical services, as well as professional skills training for the unit's volunteer team.
This is done by coordinating efforts with government agencies, local authorities, and partners in the humanitarian field.
