140 training opportunities and 27 employment opportunities at the Tenth Graduate Qualification and Employment Forum 2024 at the Faculty of Agriculture, Mansoura University
The Faculty of Agriculture at Mansoura University organized (the Tenth Graduate Qualification and Employment Forum) 2024, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater - President of Mansoura University, and in the presence of Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Professor Dr. Mohamed Ali Shata, Dean of the College and Professor Dr. Metwally Abu Sari’, Vice Dean of the College for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, under the supervision and implementation of Dr. Amr Ahmed Gabr, Director of the Graduate Qualification and Follow-up Office, and the heads of academic departments and a group of faculty members, supporting staff, final-year students, and graduates.
28 owners, managers, and representatives of companies, factories, and farms with leadership in the agricultural field participated in the forum, which cooperate with the Graduate Qualification Office by providing training and qualification programs for college students, suitable job opportunities for graduates, some agencies funding projects in all fields, and inspiring examples of college graduates who have achieved success in Labor market.
Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University, spoke about the pivotal role that employment forums provide in being a link between students and graduates on the one hand and employment institutions on the other hand, and he urged students and graduates to make an effort in training and learning to improve their personal and technical skills, to become at the same level. Highly competent, combining academic background and practical ability to ensure obtaining the best available job opportunities, and keeping pace with the requirements of the labor market, which is witnessing many successive changes.
Dr. Mohamed Shata, Dean of the College, explained the importance of holding the Employment Forum, which aims to qualify and refine young people’s skills for the labor market, and contributes to providing the necessary guidance and guidance to students and making them aware of the needs of the labor market. It also reviews the job and training opportunities available to graduates through companies and beneficiary entities.
His Excellency also praised the role of companies and bodies for their effective participation in the forum, which is an opportunity to introduce the agricultural and industrial sectors to the capabilities and skills of the college’s students and its educational and qualitative programs closely related to the needs of agricultural and economic development, which work to provide the graduate with skills and specifications that are all related to the requirements of civil society and meet the needs of the labor market.
For his part, Dr. Metwally Abu Sariye, Vice Dean of the College, indicated that the college administration spares no effort to work to advance its graduates, by studying information about the labor market to provide constructive recommendations for developing and improving academic programs and preparing competitive graduates at the local and regional levels in light of the sustainable development of higher education institutions.
Dr. Amr Gabr, Director of the Graduate Rehabilitation and Follow-up Office, spoke about the office’s mission and the college’s vision of contributing to reducing the problem of unemployment by aligning learning outcomes with labor market requirements. He presented the office’s activity over the past years in providing training opportunities for students and graduates, and communicating with companies and bodies to provide Job opportunities for graduates. His Excellency praised the cooperation between the Rehabilitation Office, business owners, companies and various civil society bodies.
Entrepreneurial participants reviewed a number of success stories and experiences that help students and graduates engage in the labor market and how to prepare to start their professional lives, as well as the most important steps necessary to start projects and obtain financing.
At the conclusion of the forum’s activities, the owners and representatives of companies, factories, and farms announced the provision of 140 field training opportunities and 27 employment opportunities for students and graduates of the College of Agriculture.
