The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Sharif, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Leaders Foundation for Administrative Sciences and Development. And in the presence of A. Dr. Mohamed Ghaida, Secretary General of the Leaders Foundation. The meeting revolved around a number of points, the most important of which are:
-The problem of population increase, which is the greatest challenge to the Egyptian state and hinders the wheel of development, the National Strategy for Population and Development 2023-2030 in light of the sustainable development goals and Egypt’s Vision 2030.
-Climatic changes and their impact on population redistribution.
- The state’s efforts that aim to achieve a balance between growth rates and available resources while confronting climate change through optimal investment and development of wealth while preserving the rights of future generations from these resources.
The new smart cities, the industrial cities, and the new delta are examples of cities that provide the necessities of life and are distinguished by the use of new and renewable energy, modern roads and means of transportation, and modern irrigation methods to confront climate change and provide new job opportunities that help in horizontal expansion and redistribution of the population, which contributes to resolving population overcrowding.
- Providing examples of new cities, such as the New Administrative Capital, which is one of the fourth generation cities and is planned to accommodate 6.5 million people on an area of 714 km2.
