The Alumni Association Committee of the University's Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector, the “Graduates Skills Development Team,” in cooperation with the Graduate Follow-up Unit at the College of Engineering, organized a workshop entitled “Skills for Writing a CV and Passing a Personal Interview.”
This will be on Monday, March 4, 2024, in Prof. Dr. Al-Saeed Ashour Hall, at ten o’clock in the morning.

Present at the workshop were Dr. Hani Abdel Razek; Training Consultant, Dr. Muhammad Mustafa; Director of the Student Projects Unit at the College of Engineering, in the presence of (109) college students from specific programs and scientific departments, in addition to postgraduate students and graduates from various sectors.

The workshop aimed to clarify and acquire the art of writing a CV, and to avoid behavioral errors during a personal interview, in order to assist in acceptance and obtaining a decent job opportunity for applicants for a specific position.
Several topics were clarified during the explanation of the workshop, the most important of which are: the most important items that a CV should contain and the priorities in order to write them, formulating the CV items and presenting them in a way that highlights the skills and distinction of the applicant for the job, and preparing for the personal interview, such as paying attention to a decent appearance and having balanced behavior during the interview, which is given. A positive impression of the applicant for the position, and the necessity of the research process and collecting information about the company to which the applicant is applying, before the personal interview. In addition to presenting the importance of small and emerging projects and the steps necessary to prepare and collect information for startups.
At the end of the workshop, the floor was opened for dialogue and discussion, where the college students and graduates in attendance raised some questions and inquiries, and they were answered with the necessary clarifications. All attendees praised the rich and very useful workshop, especially for college students in this age group, which provided them with information and skills in the art of writing a CV and personal statement to help them obtain job opportunities to achieve a future they desire and a tomorrow they dream of living and achieving.

It is worth noting that the workshop “Skills for writing a CV and passing a personal interview” will be implemented in all university faculties within the framework of the direction of the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector at Mansoura University to enable graduates of the university and final-year students who are about to graduate to know how to write a CV with high professionalism and an advanced and developed curriculum. Also ensuring that they are familiar with everything they need when meeting with recruitment officials or managers and how to answer common questions, in cooperation with the graduate follow-up units in the university’s colleges.
