Mansoura University celebrates Mother's Day and honors 36 exemplary mothers. Today, Wednesday, March 20, 2024, Professor Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, witnessed the Mother's Day celebration at the university, which was organized by the General Administration of Environmental Projects within the plan of activities of the community service and environmental development sector at the university. In the presence of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Attia Al-Bayoumi, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Secretary-General of the University, Prof. Dr. Amina Shalabi, Secretary of the National Council for Women in Dakahlia, and gentlemen deans and deans. Colleges, assistant secretaries, directors of hospitals and specialized medical centers at the university, director of the military education department, ideal mothers at the university, faculty members, members of the administrative staff and university students. 36 exemplary mothers were honored at the university, representing all sectors of the university, which number 18 colleges, 10 university hospitals, and specialized medical centers. In his speech, Professor Dr. Sherif Khater extended his greetings and appreciation to the exemplary mothers at Mansoura University on the occasion of Mother’s Day, stressing that the mother is the pillar of the Egyptian family, the source of giving without borders, and the foundation of all society. He also stressed that the university is keen to celebrate Mother's Day annually and honor the exemplary mothers of its employees as a symbol of appreciation and honor for their path of giving and their great efforts in raising new generations, praising the priority given by the Egyptian state to the women's issue based on the belief of the political leadership led by Mr. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said that stability and progress will not be achieved except by ensuring the effective participation of women in all aspects of national work, and that is through supporting and empowering Egyptian women, so that they are a fundamental focus in all aspects of the state’s comprehensive development plan, which has had a significant impact. He also stressed that the university is working hard in this context to achieve the principle of equality and empowering women, out of belief in the importance of their role in building and achieving the university’s vision and mission. For his part, Professor Mohamed Abdel Latif, Secretary-General of the University, stressed that the mother is the symbol of sacrifice and giving, and she is the flame of light that illuminates the paths, and she is the inexhaustible support and assistance. He also stressed the importance of their role in Egyptian society, and the necessity of supporting them and providing them with help and care in a way that helps them. The ceremony included an art exhibition for the General Administration of Student Welfare, a speech by Dr. Amal Abdel Salam, representing the faculty members, and Mrs. Wafa Salem at the Oncology Center, representing the administrative staff, and an art show for the children of the Child Care and Development Center at the university, then honoring exemplary mothers at the university.
