Supervised and implemented by Dr. Doaa Nour, a teacher in the Department of Greek Studies and coordinator of Family for Egypt at the College of Arts.. The Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, in cooperation with Family for Egypt at the College of Arts and Student Care, represented by its director, Professor Abdel Rahman Zaid, and his work team, organized a symposium entitled “Honoring parents is one of the virtues of the Holy Month.” Sheikh Ibrahim Hassan Saad, an imam, preacher, and member of the presidential program, lectured at it. This symposium came based on the recommendations of a previous visit to a nursing home regarding the necessity of raising awareness of the importance of honoring one’s parents in order to preserve the family entity, which represents the first building block in societal construction, as well as on the occasion of Orphan Day in the month of April. The students’ interaction With the lecturer, a constructive dialogue and discussion resulted in their desire to hold religious and social seminars, through which it became clear that our students are fine and in need of reminders from time to time, and this is the role of the university and those in charge of it.
