Meeting regarding the establishment of new production lines at Mansoura University to produce some products and review their production, distribution and marketing plans, Monday, August 19, 2024
A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, with:
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abu El Nour - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Science for Community Service Affairs, Prof. Dr. Metwally Abu Saree - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture for Community Service Affairs, Dr. Mustafa El Feki - Director of the University Services Marketing Center, Prof. Dr. Abeer Tawkel - Director of the Artificial Intelligence Program and Rapporteur of the Choose Your Project Committee, Prof. Dr. Amr Gabr - Activities Coordinator, Eng. Reham Gouda - Acting Director General of Engineering Affairs.
This was to discuss and study the establishment of new production lines at Mansoura University, including soap, paper, and plastic.
The meeting aimed to review the production, distribution, and marketing plans for these materials.
* The most important points discussed
Soap production:
The methods of providing raw materials were reviewed and the best manufacturing techniques were determined to ensure the production of high-quality soap. Strategies for distributing soap to local markets and hospitals were also discussed.
Paper production:
The discussions focused on the possibility of using recycled paper in production and reducing the environmental impact. Target markets such as educational institutions and offices were identified for product distribution.
Plastic production:
The meeting discussed the provision of necessary raw materials and the use of modern technology in manufacturing. Marketing and distribution plans targeting industrial and packaging companies were also discussed.

Conduct economic feasibility studies for each production line.
Organize training workshops to qualify the workforce.
Build partnerships with the private sector to support production and distribution.
Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim then stressed the importance of these projects in enhancing the role of the university in serving the community and developing the environment, stressing the need to work in a team spirit to ensure the success of these initiatives.
