As part of the ongoing efforts to develop Dakahlia Governorate, an important meeting was held by the Mansoura and Gamasa Cities Development Committee at Mansoura University, headed by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim began the session by welcoming the participants, pointing out the importance of developing the visual identity of the governorate as part of a comprehensive strategy to enhance Dakahlia's position as one of the most important governorates in Egypt.

The discussions focused on the need to create a distinctive visual identity for both Mansoura and Gamasa, reflecting the history and culture of the two cities. Oral proposals were presented for the proposed designs for the main squares in both cities, as these designs aim to integrate heritage elements with a modern character, which contributes to enhancing the touristic appeal of the cities. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim stressed the importance of these designs being compatible with the surrounding environment and reflecting the civilized character of the region. The need to provide public spaces that contribute to enhancing community interaction and being gathering centers for residents and visitors was also addressed. Among the projects that were discussed extensively was the establishment of main gates that express the unique character of each city. It was agreed to design modern gates that combine traditional architectural elements and technological innovations, to reflect the cities' welcome to visitors and to be symbols of development and modernity.

Then, one of the main topics of the meeting was to discuss the functional program for each project and its implementation timetables. It was then agreed to develop a specific timetable that ensures the completion of projects in record time and with high quality, in line with international standards. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim stressed the need to adhere to timetables and cooperation between various parties to ensure the successful implementation of these projects.

The meeting concluded with an emphasis on the importance of continuing coordination between the various stakeholders, whether in the governorate, the university or local institutions, in order to achieve the comprehensive vision for developing the cities of Mansoura and Gamasa. Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim stressed that work on these projects will continue at an accelerated pace to achieve the desired goals, and that the new visual identity will contribute to enhancing Dakahlia's position as a prominent urban and tourist center. This meeting is an important step towards achieving Dakahlia Governorate's aspirations for urban development and improving the quality of life for citizens, in line with Egypt's Vision 2030 for sustainable development.
