Awareness caravan to improve the demographic characteristics of the Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura University

Within the framework of the "New Beginning for Human Building" initiative for human development launched by His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, which aims to provide all aspects of social and health care to citizens, in addition to providing sustainable development support to rural communities, improving the quality of life and continuing the awareness role of the Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura University, in serving the community.

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater - President of Mansoura University and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim - Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and the leadership of Prof. Dr. Abeer Mohamed Zakaria, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Nursing and Prof. Dr. Wafaa Fathy - Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.

The Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura University, participated with the National Population Council in an awareness caravan in Barq Al-Ezz village, Mansoura Center, on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, with the participation of various sectors of Dakahlia Governorate: Health Directorate, Family Development Department, Adult Education Authority, Project Development Agency, National Council for Women.

Both Assistant Professor Dr. Shaima Fouad and Dr. Heba Zidane spoke about breast self-examination, its importance, timing, method of operation, and how to act in the event of any abnormal sign. Breast cancer, its rate, and causes were also addressed.
