Workshop on Healthy Nutrition During the Fasting Month Faculty of Nursing – Mansoura University Organized by the General Administration of Environmental Projects Monday, March 2, 2026

As part of its societal and awareness-driven role, the General Administration of Environmental Projects, in cooperation with the Faculty of Nursing at Mansoura University, organized a distinguished workshop entitled “Healthy Nutrition During the Fasting Month”, aiming to promote awareness of the importance of proper nutrition during the holy month of Ramadan.

The workshop activities were inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Widad Saber – Member of the Community Service Committee at the Faculty – who introduced the session’s themes and emphasized the importance of spreading correct nutritional awareness during the fasting period.

Prof. Dr. Fatma El-Emam, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, welcomed the attendees and praised the fruitful cooperation between the Environmental Projects Administration within the Community Service Sector and the Faculty of Nursing, affirming that such integration reflects the university’s vision in serving the community and developing the environment.

For her part, Prof. Dr. Abeer Zakaria, Dean of the Faculty, expressed her pleasure in organizing this workshop and extended her sincere thanks and appreciation to the Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, to Eng. Sherif Fawzy – Director General of the General Administration of Environmental Projects – and to the work team, in recognition of their efforts in supporting and organizing this purposeful awareness event.

The Director General of Environmental Projects conveyed the greetings and appreciation of the Vice President for Community Service to the Dean and the Vice Dean, expressing gratitude to all attendees for their cooperation and keenness to benefit from the seminar in a way that serves the public interest.

The scientific content of the workshop included a distinguished presentation delivered by Dr. Asmaa Ahmed – Lecturer of Community Health Nursing – who discussed the foundations of healthy nutrition during Ramadan, how to maintain body health by selecting balanced meals, organizing meal timings, ensuring adequate fluid intake, and highlighting the importance of moderate physical activity.

The workshop targeted faculty members, university staff, and students.

The event witnessed remarkable interaction from attendees through questions and suggestions that enriched the discussion and emphasized the importance of continuing such awareness initiatives.

The workshop concluded with a group photo of the attendees alongside the Dean, the Vice Dean, and the organizing team, in an atmosphere characterized by cooperation and team spirit.
