At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Mahmoud Al-Meligi stressed the need to develop an integrated action plan to raise the awareness of university students about the dangers of drugs, and to implement awareness campaigns with the participation of all relevant parties with coordination and good preparation to ensure that campaigns achieve their goals, during the meeting, they discussed the implementation of a number of proposals related to the fight against drugs and addiction, where they discussed making a survey on a random sample of university students to determine the prevalence of addiction among students, In addition to distributing posters in all the stands of the university colleges to raise awareness of addiction provided with QR Code for drugs dangers awareness, and dedicating an official page on the main site of the university for combating addiction to increase the access rate to the largest number of students and the administrative sector of the university, They also discussed dedicating a special hotline for the university to report cases of addiction and to provide awareness, as well as methods and steps for treatment, In this context, Prof. Mahmoud Al-Meligi stressed the need for cooperation with the universities of the Central Delta gathering to spread the experience among all the universities participating in the gathering, The meeting also dealt with the organization of workshops periodically in the squares and gardens of the university to ensure access to all students in addition to organizing a sports league between all colleges of the university under the slogan "No drugs", and making a periodic training for university students to prepare new voluntary cadres that contribute to awareness campaigns.
During the meeting, Al- Meligi also discussed the implementation of the initiative to raise awareness on the importance of cleanliness and maintaining the cleanliness of the university campus, with the participation of the Al-Mahrousa Students Team from the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, which is scheduled to be implemented on Tuesday and Wednesday by organizing campaigns to raise awareness among all university students in all the faculties and campus gardens of the importance of cleanliness and to make them aware of the importance of separating waste according to its type.
