Launch of the Mansoura University Comprehensive Convoy "Jessour Al-Khair (13)" to the New Valley

Complementing the series of Integrated “Jessour Al-Kair” Convoys initiated by Mansoura University in 2018 to provide integrated services to the people of the border provinces and remote areas most in need; This morning, Saturday, December 25, 2021, Mansoura University's comprehensive convoy "Jessour Al-Kair (13)" was launched to the New Valley Governorate to provide medical, veterinary and awareness services there, Under the auspices of Prof. Ashraf Mohammed Abdul Basit, President of Mansoura University, and Major General Mohammed Al-Zamlot, Governor of the New Valley, headed by Prof. Mahmoud Mohamed Al-Meligy, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development.

Where Dr. Ahmed Rashed, Media Officer for the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, stated that the activities of the convoy will include signing medical examinations on the residents of the Kharga and Dakhla oasis and several surrounding areas in various medical specialties, as well as the dispensing of medicines from the convoy pharmacy free of charge, and the diversion of critical cases to complete treatment, medical examinations and necessary surgeries at hospitals and medical centers of Mansoura University, In addition to a veterinary convoy to detect livestock and provide guidance to breeders there, it will also include a number of recreational and awareness-raising events to be organized by the team of the University's Childhood Care and Development Centre, as well as the distribution of gifts to children.

It is worth mentioning that the management of the convoy has taken all preventive and precautionary measures in order to preserve the safety of all its members and of the people benefiting from the services of the convoy. This convoy confirms the community leadership role of the University, especially in times of crisis. The activities of the convoy are scheduled to continue until Wednesday evening, 29 December.
