A Symposium entitled Building Personal Confidence among youth in the Face of Extremism in Mansoura University

As a part of the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the President of the Republic, regarding combating abnormal concepts and ideas and confronting extremist ideology and terrorism in Egypt. And for the sake of Mansoura University to increase the awareness of university youth and improve their ideas, and within the framework of the strategic plan activities of the Counter Terrorism and Extremism Committee. Today, Wednesday, April 13, 2022, the Committee for Combating Terrorism and Extremism of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector organized a cultural symposium entitled " Building Personal Confidence among youth in the Face of Extremism". This is in cooperation with the Faculty of Education for Early Childhood and under the auspices of Prof. Ashraf Abdel Basset - President of the University, Prof. Mahmoud El Meligy - Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Sherif Khater - Dean of the Faculty of Law and Chairman of the Committee Combating Terrorism and Extremism and and Prof. Sahar Tawfik - Dean of the Faculty of Education for Early Childhood.

During the symposium, the importance of developing the skills and personal talents of youth was emphasized, because they are the mainstay of the country and its future, and urged the attendees to exert all their efforts for the progress and renaissance of our dear country and not to give in to false ideas and information because the goal of those ideas is to destroy the state. The ways in which information and news are circulated among individuals have also been clarified until it reaches what is known as false news and information (rumour), and a simulation was made among the students about receiving information and investigating accuracy and validity of the information, emphasizing that every news circulated among individuals has the potential to be true or false according to the circulation of news between individuals.
