Events of the First Stage of the President's Initiative "Egyptian Craftsmen" in Mansoura university
On Sunday 7th of April, Prof. Mahmoud Elmeligi Vice-President of Mansoura university for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs commenced the events
of the first stage of the President's initiative entitled "Egyptian craftsmen" under the supervision of Prof. /Ashraf Abdel Basset Mansoura University President attended by Prof. Abdallah Gad, Dean of Faculty of Specific Education, Prof./ Omar Ghaneim Dean of Faculty of Fine Arts, Eng .Reda Shafie Head of Engineers Syndicate in Dakahlia and a number of Faculties Vice Deans and Faculties staff.
Prof. Mahmoud Elmeligi has pointed out that the University is concerned to carry out "Egyptian Craftsmen Initiative” due to the need of the Egyptian society to skilled craftsman and technicians contributing to developing the Egyptian economy .He added that the initiative highlights the university role in community service by setting up workshops to train distinguished technical cadres to improve educational and technical skills and to provide distinguished job opportunities in Egypt or abroad.
He also stated that there is a strong competition among the Egyptian technicians and their peers from Eastern Asian countries that made the Egyptian state concerned to qualify and enhance competence of the Egyptian technician . Hence, Mansoura University as an Egyptian educational institution cooperated with the Engineers Syndicate to raise the efficiency of technical education students .
He also added that the first stage this year includes the training of 960 students of technical schools in Dakahlia governorate on the basis of 8 stages of 120 students each in addition to the other training programs targeting graduates and housewives.
Mr.Ehab Elshebiny, General Manager of Environmental Projects, has declared that the initiative aims to train and qualify craftsmen and artisans by holding necessary qualifying training programs for preparing technical cadres to keep up with the needs of labour market.
