The annual coordination meeting of the Safe Women’s Units
At the kind invitation of Dr. Amal Philip, Medical Advisor to the National Council for Women.
The meeting included a presentation and fruitful discussion of the proposal for a unified curriculum for medical college students on female genital mutilation. Dr. Amal Philip also reviewed the role of the National Council for Women in establishing safe women’s units in (10) university hospitals and presented a comprehensive overview of the activities and achievements of safe women’s units in Egyptian universities.
Ed Amal El-Baqry, Head of the Forensic Medicine Department, kindly presented the report of the Safe Women Unit at Mansoura Medicine.
