OSHA Basics of Occupational Safety and Health course - Faculty of Engineering

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim - Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and the leadership of Prof. Dr. Sherif Masoud Al-Badawi, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Gamal Ibrahim Mahdy - Director of the Public Service Center for Occupational Safety and Health.

The Public Service Center for Occupational Safety and Health organized a course on the basics of occupational safety and health, in compliance with OSHA, for 30 hours. The target group is university students, from January 28 to 31, 2024, at the Prof. Dr. Magdy Abu Rayyan Auditorium, College of Engineering, where the course covered a detailed explanation of the basics of occupational safety and health - prevention tasks. Personal - fire dangers, their types, and how to prevent them - safety procedures in construction projects - electrical dangers - escape routes and emergency exits.

It is worth noting that in the presence of Professor Dr. Sherif Masoud Al-Badawi, Dean of the College of Engineering, and Professor Dr. Muhammad Jamal Ibrahim Mahdi, Director of the Public Service Center for Occupational Safety and Health, the students who passed the test were honored and given a certificate for the course, as the number of students who passed the course reached (71) students and they praised the importance of The course and the role of the center in spreading the culture of occupational safety and health among university students.
