On Sunday 20/10/2024, the second activities of the third introductory week were held for the activities of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the Faculty; Where the Graduates Follow-up Unit held a workshop "How to Use Artificial Intelligence in the Journey of Searching for a Job and Preparing a CV"... Within the professional development programs for graduates for the academic year 2024/2025.
The workshop was attended by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdel Badie; Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the College of Specific Education .. In the presence of representatives from the college graduates and final year students.
The workshop discussed how artificial intelligence has contributed to changing the world of employment, and how to use it to improve the job search process and make it faster. The workshop also provided advice on how to use artificial intelligence platforms and tools such as ChatGPT or CV enhancement services to generate professional and attractive content.
The importance of using appropriate keywords and QR codes in the CV was addressed to match the requirements of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) used by many companies to sort CVs.
The workshop also discussed how to benefit from artificial intelligence to update and improve the profile on platforms such as LinkedIn.
The focus was also on improving personal titles, professional descriptions, and adding skills commonly used in the labor market. Some applications used to achieve professional development were discussed.
The workshop concluded with general advice on using artificial intelligence in professional development intelligently and a strategy to increase professional opportunities, in addition to emphasizing the importance of continuously updating skills in line with technological developments in the labor market.
The floor was opened for participants' questions about the tools and techniques that were presented.
Following the workshop, personal interviews for employment at Al-Mohammadi Restaurant were conducted by Mr. Ahmed Bakkar Saber, Human Resources Coordinator at Al-Mohammadi Restaurant and the work team. A number of college graduates were nominated for employment.
