Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, and the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of Mansoura University for Community Service and Environmental Development.

Mansoura University, in collaboration with the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, announced the launch of the training program "Education for Sustainability."

The program’s opening ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of Mansoura University for Community Service and Environmental Development, who emphasized the importance of enhancing the concept of sustainability in the education sector and the role of this program in raising awareness and developing competencies to achieve sustainable development.

The program aims to provide modern insights on education as a key tool for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, with a focus on building the capacities of participants from various faculties and sectors.

The training program featured distinguished lectures delivered by experts in sustainability and artificial intelligence fields. On the first day, Prof. Dr. Hussein Abaza, International Advisor for Environmental Sustainability, gave a lecture that covered key topics related to enhancing the concepts of environmental sustainability and its importance in addressing global challenges.

On the second day, Dr. Khaled Abu Zaid, Regional Director for the Water Resources Management Program at the Sidari Organization and Regional Director at the Arab Water Council, lectured on integrating the concept of sustainability in water resource development and the importance of managing these resources to achieve sustainable development in the region.

The day concluded with a lecture by Engineer Huda Shaqra from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, who discussed the applications of digitalization and artificial intelligence and their pivotal role in achieving sustainable development and developing innovative solutions to address challenges.

This program is part of efforts to enhance awareness and develop national capacities in the fields of sustainability and sustainable development through the use of the latest technologies.
