The Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at Mansoura University organizes the "Awareness and Prevention of the New Coronavirus Variant" initiative at the Faculty of Education.
As part of its community and awareness-raising role, and as a continuation of its plan to promote health awareness, the General Administration of Environmental Projects, in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine and the Directorate of Health and Population, organized an initiative titled "Awareness and Prevention of the New Coronavirus Variant" on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.
The initiative was attended by Prof. Dr. Abdullah Ali Abu Shabana, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Mohamed Gamal, Associate Professor of Pulmonary Diseases at the Faculty of Medicine, and 365 students from the Faculties of Education and Dentistry, including 202 female students and 163 male students.
The event began with a speech by Prof. Dr. Abdullah Ali Abu Shabana, who welcomed the attendees and praised the role of such initiatives in educating students and staff on methods of disease prevention. Dr. Mohamed Gamal then delivered a comprehensive lecture that covered: ✅ The new variant of the Coronavirus and its most prominent symptoms. ✅ Prevention methods and key health guidelines to avoid infection. ✅ The importance of wearing masks and their role in reducing the spread of infection.
At the end of the initiative, a question-and-answer session was held, and surveys were distributed to assess the impact of the initiative. The event concluded with a group photo with the attendees.
